Swim between the flags!
Kawana beach can experience dangerous rips, sweeps and rough conditions because of its exposed nature. Conditions can change in seconds. It is strongly advised that swimmers always swim between the flags. Surf patrols operate through the summer on the beach-front at the club house.
Kawana Surf Life Saving Club caters for people of all ages and prides itself on its genuinely warm and inviting ambience. Whether it's introducing children to the importance of surf safety through Nippers, or enjoying a meal and a drink in the beer garden, you’ll always experience a friendly smile.
The Club and the community
Kawana Surf Life Saving Club relies heavily on the support of the local community and tourists.
Profits through meals, the bar, and gaming all go back onto the beach in the form of life saving equipment. Your patronage directly helps keep the beach safer.
