Susan Etheridge - The Greens for Ninderry

I have lived on the Sunshine Coast for over 35 years, and am an active member of the community. I own and manage two successful local small businesses, after many years experience in banking, finance, accounting and business management.

I am focussed on improving and making our essential services affordable and ensuring our region's long term sustainability.

I joined the Greens because the Greens put people and essential services before profit and corporations. I am concerned about the rising costs of these essential services, and the increasing gap between the rich and the poor.

I am also passionate about:

Energy for People, not Profit: Energy is a right – not a luxury. We have a plan to phase out private retailers, and ensure affordable, reliable electricity for all Queenslanders.

End Corruption in Queensland: No more donations from property developers, financial institutions, gambling and fossil fuel corporations.

A Fair Deal for Queensland Renters: One third of Queenslanders are renters. Every person deserves a home – regardless of whether they own or rent.

Stop Adani: We must stop this megamine - a mine that will wreck the reef, trash Indigenous rights, cook the climate, and risk $1 billion of taxpayers' money.

The two old parties have failed to address the concerns of everyday Queenslanders. Let's get some positive outcomes for our region that advance our communities as well as our economy.

I'm proud to be your Greens candidate for Ninderry.
