Division 7 Candidates - 2016 Sunshine Coast...

Ted Hungerford, Councillor candidate, Sunshine Coast Council

A few of the projects Ted has delivered in the last 4 years (10)

I have been the Sunshine Coast Councillor for Division 7 for the past 8 years and for 4 years prior I was the Maroochy Shire Councillor for Division 9. With 12 years of dedicated and energetic representation, I have a clear vision for our Community.

We do not need to become another Gold Coast.

I do not support increasing building density or heights. I support controlled growth with sustainable development and preservation of green spaces.

I actively ensured the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014 now protects our Division 7 from losing its identity and character. Through strongly advocating on the community’s behalf at planning meetings, I secured controls in the Town Plan to protect our rural, residential and urban environments.

I personally fund my campaign and receive no donations from any developers, unions, political parties, groups or individuals. This insures my true independence in decision making.

Throughout my 12 years as Councillor I personally design, fund and deliver my twice yearly newsletter to more than 11,000 mailboxes so as to keep the residents of Division 7 informed and aware of works and issues of our region. (In the Gallery Graphics section I have included my latest newsletter).

I love my community passionately and with many years’ experience in Council chambers, I have the proven ability and will continue to establish Division 7 as the best place to live on the Coast.
