Tracy Burton - The Greens for Buderim

Tracy Burton, Candidate for Buderim (4)

Tracy Burton has lived on the Sunshine Coast for 10 years and has worked in education for 17 years, completing her studies at the University of Melbourne and Charles Sturt University.

Her priorities for the electorate of Buderim include providing greater learning support services to students and teachers, as well as programs to future proof schools with renewable energy programs. Affordable housing and programs to assist families in need are also areas of concern. Environmentally, the Mooloolah River including adjacent waterways and catchments, the forests of Buderim Mountain and all green spaces are focus areas. The cost of power is hurting households and businesses.

Ms Burton and The Greens are committed to lowering energy costs by transitioning to efficient public authorities, rolling back privatisation and investing in renewable energy sources. Traffic congestion is an increasing problem on the Coast. Ms Burton proposes better, cheaper public transport with $2 flat fares and free public transport for under 18s.

She strongly opposes the Adani Coal Mine and believes we must block this disastrous project at every turn. "We deserve a bright future, an accepting and just society, with a cleaner greener environment for us all, especially our children," Burton said.

Tracy Burton is proud to stand as your Greens candidate in the electorate of Buderim.
