Virginia Duigan has worked in Australia, Britain and the United States and there isn’t much she hasn’t done in the worlds of journalism and entertainment.
Before becoming a novelist she worked as a journalist, broadcaster, editor and TV scriptwriter. She was regular feature writer and later literary editor of The National Times and contributed to The Age, The Australian and The Financial Review. In London she worked for The Observer and The Times.
Virginia was an interviewer on a weekly arts and current affairs for ABC-TV where she also wrote eight hours of drama, including two children’s book adaptations and the science fiction series, Andra.
She wrote the screenplay of the 1998 movie, The Leading Man, starring Jon Bon Jovi, Thandie Newton and Barry Humphries and she has been a feature film script assessor for the The Australian Film Commission.
Virginia’s third novel is the just published The Precipice, a psychological thriller, set in the Blue Mountains. Her first two books were Days Like These and The Biographer.
