2005 QUEENSLAND SCHOOLS FLAT-WATER SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Sunshine Coast is producing amazing future athletes. This Saturday November 12th the Sunshine Coast community will have the opportunity to see exactly how amazingly these athletes can paddle.
The 2005 Queensland Schools Flat-water Sprint Championships will be held at Quad Parks Lake Kawana from 8.30am to 5pm. School paddlers from all over Queensland will come and compete with the best. For the past three years, our own coast's Pacific Lutheran College has laid claim to the State Championship. Come and see them defend their title!
Kawana Waters Canoe Club is hosting the State Schools Championships at Lake Kawana. KWCC is a family club with membership presently standing at over 100 members with ages ranging from 10 years through to VETS. The club trains every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 5.30am at Lake Kawana under the volunteer coaching of Allan Macklin and Mark Priestley. Every Saturday morning from 8.30am the club offers the community to 'Come & Try' the paddling experience.
A special inaugural invitational race of K4s will be held on Lake Kawana on Saturday November 12th.
