Members of the public have only 2 weeks to go to purchase discounted tickets for the Cadbury Schweppes Australian PGA Championship.
 
Pre-purchasing tickets on or before December 5 from the free-call PGA HOTLINE - 1800 009 499- will attract a discount of 50% off the gate price.
 
Any one-day ticket bought through the PGA HOTLINE is $10 rather than $20 and the PGA HOTLINE season ticket price is $25 as opposed to $50 at the gate.
 
Hosted at the Hyatt Regency Coolum from December 6-9, the Cadbury Schweppes Australian PGA Championship is Australia's oldest and most prestigious professional golf tournament.
 
A recent prizemoney boost of $200,000 raising total prizemoney to AUD$1.4 million, will no doubt increase the level of competition between players and further add to the excitement surrounding the tournament at the Hyatt Regency Coolum course.
 
World Top Ten ranked players Adam Scott (AUS) and Rory Sabbatini (RSA) will contest the Championship along with defending champion Nick O'Hern and leading Australian players on the international circuits such as Stuart Appleby, John Senden, Peter Lonard, Craig Parry, Richard Green, Nathan Green, Stephen Leaney and Peter O'Malley. These seasoned players will be challenged by the exciting "Young guns" of Australian Golf - Jason Day, Nick Flanagan, Michael Sim and Jarrod Lyle - who are all making an impact on the international tours.

PGA HOTLINE opens for 50% discounted tickets
 
Members of the public will have the opportunity to pre-purchase discounted tickets for the Cadbury Schweppes Australian PGA Championship from Monday, October 8.
 
Pre-purchasing tickets from the freecall PGA HOTLINE on 1800 009 499 will attract a discount of 50 per cent off the gate price.
 
Any one-day ticket bought through the PGA HOTLINE is $10 rather than $20 and the season ticket PGA HOTLINE price is $25 as opposed to $50 at the gate.
 
The Cadbury Schweppes Australian PGA Championship is Australia's oldest and most prestigious professional golf tournament and will be hosted at the Hyatt Regency Coolum from December 6-9.
 
Last year's event was one of the most successful ever held, with record crowd numbers and television ratings, finishing with a playoff victory by West Australian Nick O'Hern over New South Welshman Peter Lonard.
 
This year, the defending champion as well as Australia's highest ranked golfer, Adam Scott are already confirmed to participate in the tournament with more high profile golfers expected to confirm in the coming weeks.
 
Maroochy Mayor, Cr Joe Natoli, said the tournament provides an excellent opportunity to showcase the region nationally and internationally through the significant media coverage it attracts.
 
"The Cadbury Schweppes Australian PGA Championship is one of Maroochy's signature events and attracts a number of our top golfers to the Sunshine Coast," Cr Natoli said.

The PGA HOTLINE will be available for the pre-purchase of tickets until 5 pm December 5.
