The Tours through the Tombstones event, entry is also by gold coin donation and all funds raised will go towards the cost of placing a marker on the graves of the two Hansen sisters who passed away in the diphtheria epidemic of 1907. These two deaths were the catalyst for the creation of the Cemetery at Gheerulla and until now the graves have been unmarked and no recognition given to the suffering of the families in the district because of this "dread disease".
