Lake Cootharaba sailing club will be transformed on the 29th & 30th Dec between 10am-1pm into a creative space full of recycle stuff including brightly coloured fabrics, cardboards tubes, stickers galore, banners, streamer type flowing things, rainbows bunting to make up, hat making shapes and lots more. Adults and kids alike love these annual FREE parade workshops that have been running since 2000. The parade kicks off the NYE celebration at Lake Cootharaba, if you want to join in the parade along the lakeside it leaves from the sailing club at 5.30pm. Theme for this year is "a Celebration of Light", this was chosen to fit in with 2015 being the international year of Light.
When the parade returns to the street party zone the music kicks in to rock the night away - see poster attached for band line-up. There are also flares at 9pm for kids and again at midnight. There will be other art and lighting sculptures to explore on the night at the beach and on the front of the sailing club.
The night is FAMILY FRIENDLY environment with a huge dance floor in front of the community erected stage.
