Noosa Artist Anne-Marie Jones has let her hair down and her palette has gone wild with colour in the new artworks featured at Madisson's Restaurant & Bar on Gympie Terrace.
Considered a bit more sophisticated than naive, the paintings on display represent Anne-Marie's experience of Noosa's beach scene. The style is carefree while at the same time showing great control in composition and development. Many of the Noosa Beach icons are represented. "Hey Bill" and his cart are there as are the man on his paddle board with his dog. Surfers, Life Savers, families, beach babes and bobs are all there enjoying a very relaxed day on the beach. In the canvas called "Taking the Plunge in Noosa" depicting a beach wedding, it shows the relaxed nature of Noosa where a formal event like a wedding can be observed without obstruction. Life just goes on in its own relaxed, merry way.
The exhibition runs for two weeks from Monday 7th of April until Monday 21st of April. Anne-Marie will be in the Restaurant on Saturday 19th of April from 4 - 6 pm where she will be happy to answer questions about her Art.
