The Noosa Chamber of Commerce is calling for nominations for its board. The board is elected annually and all positions are open to be filled at the annual general meeting at Trio’s Restaurant at Harbour Town on Monday, 14 November from 5.30pm.
President Carl Beck says the Chamber has successfully taken up the bat for several businesses over the past year, and is beginning a campaign to bring back music to our tourism areas.
Nominations need to be made by Monday 31 October on a nomination form to be found on the Noosa Chamber website: www.noosachamber.com.au .
Current Noosa Chamber Secretary John Murt says you need to be a member of the Chamber (you can join on line) and be nominated and seconded by current members. You can contact him on (firstname.lastname@example.org) to be introduced to current members.
Mr Murt said if insufficient nominations were received then nominations could be taken from the floor of the annual general meeting, but it is likely to a competitive ballot as the Noosa Chamber had become increasingly active, with a higher profile, as it tackled and won several significant business battles over the past year.
