The prodigal SUN returns
Autumn Sun launch new E.P on the Sunshine Coast
They started out on the beaches of Marcoola and have performed all over Queensland and now local favourites Autumn Sun will return to celebrate the launch of their highly anticipated E.P entitled 'Gritty Love'. The band, who will kick off their first national tour with a show at Brisbane's 'The Globe' on the 28th May, will make their second stop at The Grinning Dog in Maroochydore on Thursday 4th June when they play a free show.
"We love performing on the Sunny Coast", says lead singer Jana Penshorn, "We started out here and coming up to do a show always feels like coming home. We can't wait for the launch show". After their show at the Grinning Dog, the quartet will hit the road and visit interstate capitals Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide along with a string of regional dates around the country.
Of the latest E.P, the band says fans can expect sounds reminiscent of their coastal chill out roots with splashing of sophisticated pop and a touch of rock.
The show at The Grinning Dog will kick off at 8pm with support from local artists. Over 18's only and entry is free.
Autumn Sun will also be showcasing their talents when they play Unplugged in the Basement at The Gold Coast Arts Centre on June 11th and Bon Amici Cafe in Toowoomba on June 19th.
