On Friday 8 May, Bloomhill Cancer Care is holding an informative forum where it will showcase new client services and introduce new practitioners. There will be two panel of experts to provide beneficial information and there will be an opportunity to have your questions answered in Q&A sessions.
“Exciting changes have taken place at Bloomhill over the last 6 months, says Jacinta Elks, Strategic Lead – Clinical, Education and Research. “We have built a strong professional team that includes our experienced cancer nurses along with our new Allied Health services that include exercise physiology, clinical psychology and dietetics. This forum is a wonderful opportunity to come along and listen to what changes have taken place and also to ask questions”.
The Keynote Speaker is Luke Ryan - cancer survivor, comedian and writer of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Chemo”. Luke has survived cancer twice - at 11 and then again at 22. Now 33, Luke uses his comedy to take control of his illness and challenges the traditional view of how cancer patients should act and feel.
In his words Luke can “tell a hellishly good story about getting cancer”
The forum is open to the community, clients, families and their carers.
