The 2018 Australian Body Art Festival saw colour, activity and amazing art and it was all captured by 16 photographers whose work will be on display at the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre from 12 May to 23 May.
“The festival is a huge attraction for photographers and as part of the festival we have a photographic competition which is available to a limited number of photographers who get an access all areas pass to capture all the fun of the two-day festival,” said event manager, Danielle Taylor.
“The theme of Wild Things this year produced some truly spectacular living artworks and the photographers have captured some beautiful photos.”
“The official opening and award ceremony for the photographic competition and exhibition is on Saturday 12 May at 2pm at Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre in Maple Street, Cooroy. It’s a free event and everyone is welcome to attend. It is where we announce the winners of the Photo Print Category sponsored by Arts & Culture Eumundi, the Digital Art Category sponsored by Cooroy RSL and Highly Commended Category sponsored by Cooroy Fusion Festival.”
The colourful community arts event drew nearly 8000 spectators to watch some of the nation’s best body artists, face painters, visual artists and wearable art designers create and parade their masterpieces.
