The SUNCOAST SINFONIA enjoyed another successful season in 2004, cementing its great reputation for presenting entertaining concerts and beautiful music. It has developed into the Coast's leading chamber orchestra and continues to receive rave reviews for its performances.
Conducted by Graeme Young and led by acclaimed musical identity Julie-Anne O'Reilly, the Sinfonia attracts a growing and enthusiastic audience each time it performs. Its concerts feature a combination of well-known and attractive music, each one highlighting the talents of one or two superlative soloists.
The first concert for 2005 will be held on Sunday 27 February at 2.30pm at St Mark's Anglican Church Buderim. The concert will feature Baritone, Jason Barry-Smith. Jason has developed an enviable reputation in both Australia and New Zealand, and. will delight the audience with seven of the charming and varied Old American Songs, brilliantly arranged by Aaron Copland. This concert will also include the evocative tone poem by Zoltan Kodaly, Summer Evening.
