Breakfast with the birds at Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve
Bird lovers can experience the ultimate in sound and colour at the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve's annual Breakfast with the Birds on Sunday February 26.
Hosted by naturalist Gail Hill, this unforgettable walk will give guests the opportunity to see some of Queensland's most stunning bird species, including the wompoo fruit-dove, black-faced monarch and the rufous fantail.
Taken through the Reserve's enchanting rainforest, Gail will encourage participants to observe the birds in their natural environment as they nest, incubate and feed their young.
The walk will be repeated every Tuesday and Thursday morning for $18 per person and breakfast can be purchased at the kiosk for $12 per person.
Participants are asked to meet in the Reserve's car park at 7am with water, binoculars and insect repellent.
