The Caloundra City Libraries will not only offer a full calendar of 'cool water'-themed school holiday activities incorporating water and beach activities and sand play but also a summer reading program designed to help kids select the perfect summer read.
 
In addition, throughout the summer, children are encouraged to take advantage of the libraries' many board games, Playstations, magazines, DVDs and, of course, books. Each branch will also host a children's Christmas party. Contact your local branch for details.

3D Paintings
Participants in this workshop will explore the use of paper pulp and other materials to create their own 3D paintings.
Ages: 8 -15

Play Station Play-off
Duration: 2 hours

Description: A round-robin competition is run. Everyone gets to play one another. The final is between the two people who win the most games. Players available.

Making Bubbles
Duration: 1 hour

Description: There are lots of different bubble mixture recipes available on the Internet, but most of them are written by Americans and use American detergents. This activity uses a recipes by the Questacon Maths Squad using ingredients available in Australia.
Outcomes: Participants all get to try out making multiple types of bubbles using variations such as different Bubble mix, experiment with how Humidity and using tap water and bottled water can affect your bubbles. This is a fun activity for making new friends or bringing along old ones.
