Cartoon Workshop - Meet our secret surprise famous cartoonist and learn the tricks to creating your own unique comic characters. Lots of drawing involved Ages 10 and over.

Create a Comic Novel - Limited only by your imagination and the number of old comics we can gather to make up your own comic story book.

Females on the Fatal Shore
Susanna de Vries will be speaking about her new book "Females on the Fatal Shore"- the significant women who sailed to the Australian colonies in its founding years. Books will be on sale at the event.

Gretel Killeen and Toni Jordan are coming to town!
Sunshine Coast Libraries has been chosen as one of two library services in Queensland to host Gretel Killeen and Toni Jordan as part of Books Alive 2009.
Love her or hate her, Gretel Killeen is sure to be her usual witty and entertaining self. Best known for her role as host of TV's Big Brother, Gretel is also the author of a number of children's books.
Toni Jordan is the author of the popular 'Addition', speaks well, and has a lovely engaging personality.
Where: Trios restaurant in Tewantin
When: Thursday 17 September
Cost: $36 and include a delicious 3 course lunch.

Wordwise Conversational English supports overseas visitors and visa holders and assists non-Australian residents with oral communication skills.

Adult Literacy and Numeracy
ESSENSTIALS Adult literacy program supports Australian residents to improve their reading, spelling or basic math skills. FREE sessions are weekly with a trained Volunteer Tutor in a one-on-one situation.

Stories, songs and craft for children under 8 years and their parents.

Wriggle Giggle Read: Thursday 3rd, 10th and 17th of September. Starts10am. For children aged 12 months to 3 yrs. Stories and songs to capture young imaginations

Battle Games @ Noosa for kids over 11 yrs. Held every Saturday in the Noosa Library meeting room from 11am to 2:30pm. Come along and you will find the armies of Warhammer - Skaven, Elves, Space Marines or Lizardmen strategically battle each other. B.Y.O Armies and game books. Noosa Young Writers

Bountiful Board Games -- All aboard with Scrabble, Guess Who, Pictionary and more. All ages.

Wednesday 23rd & 30th September
Warhammer - Battle games, using pencil and paper, and your own armies and sets. Bring along your armies, some lunch and a drink. Ages 11 year olds and over.
Time: 11:30- 2:30pm
Regular Warhammer group meets at the library every Saturday.
