This trip will be taking place on Sunday 21 May 2006, and is aimed at people who are new to four wheel driving, with the trip covering the basics on reasonably easy tracks. As always there are more challenging tracks available for those who want to test their vehicle or their own ability a little further.
People from the Sunshine Coast area are meeting at 7am at the Rustic Cabin on Landsborough Road (about 200m west of the Caloundra/Landsborough exit on the highway. People from the southern end of the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane are meeting at 8am at Woodford, outside the Water Tower on the main street.
No experience is necessary for this trip, however participants are required to have registered and roadworthy vehicles. It would also be prudent to bring along recovery gear if they have it (although the likelihood of it being required is slim on this particular trip) and a UHF Radio. The club has a limited number of UHF Radios available for visitors to borrow if they do not have one. CC4WD Club uses UHF Channel 24.
The trip will be a full day trip, so pack a thermos and some lunch in and come along for a nice drive through the forest!!
This trip is limited to 15 vehicles (due to Forestry Permit requirements), with around 7 or 8 places left on the trip at this stage. If you would like to come along, either email email@example.com or visit our website at www.cc4wdclub.org.au, sign up and post a reply in the "Upcoming Trips" forum under the Intro Drive to Mt Mee topic.
