Using Permaculture Principles
(two competency units only)
SEMESTER ONE 2009
This program clusters together three units from the nationally accredited Certificate One in Horticulture.
Units covered during this six week program are:
RTC 1201A Support Maintain the Workplace and RTC 1701A Follow Basic Chemical Safety Rules
The aim of the program is to create give participants basic organic gardening and permaculture skills that will enable them to create and maintain productive organic gardens.
In the first two units of the complete six unit program, facilitator
introduces participants to the basic theory and practical skills relating to plant propagation, basic nursery skills.
All sixteen participants in the program will be engaged in practical activities with emphasis on 'hands-on' participation during each session. This requires a moderate degree of physical fitness.
Cost per participant for two unit program is $80.20 or $38.50 for Concession Card Holders.
