Changing our relationship to Stress

  • Understanding the impact of Flight/ Flight and Freeze,
  • Core knowledge of PTSD, Anxiety, depression
  • Disassociation and its relationship with Freeze
  • Unlocking the body, brain to harness an individuals natural developed Stress/ Fear response
  • Current strategies helping individuals re-gain control of the amygdala and central nerve system.

Commonly we see brain freeze, reptilian aggression, trauma driven responses which all make sense given the individuals trauma history, although as professionals we are only now challenging the more conventional ways of helping those who operate in their survival brains! The individual directly responses to the world with their trauma first, this is the brain’s fear response taking control. One of the more challenging aspects for professionals is also the first part to healing from such traumas, creating safety and connection.

This workshop is based on disseminating the works of Proges, Vander Kolk, Feldonkairs to a practice knowledge set.

This is an interactive morning and numbers are limited to ensure participants get this most out of the morning
