This will be the standard greeting at The J in Noosa Junction from 11 December as it plays host to the beautiful and clever spider in "Charlotte's Web" and all of her friends on Zuckerman's farm.
Charlotte, the spider, befriends a lonely little pig called Wilbur and ends up hatching a magnificent plan to stop Mr Zuckerman turning Wilbur into Christmas ham! With the help of the barnyard animals and Templeton the rat, Charlotte spins words in her web that show the humans that Wilbur truly is an extraordinary pig.
With a top draw local cast, E.B. White's timeless story is being brought to life in full technicolour glory. Kerrin Walder plays the elegant and no nonsense spider and dovetails beautifully with the simple but loving Wilbur (performed to full comic effect by Jennifer Rousset). Add into the equation two hysterical geese (Lucas Tranchitella and Kitten), a totally depressing sheep (Ian Mackellar) and a rat with attitude and flatulence issues (Frank Wilkie) and you have a very moving tale with an abundance of belly laughs.
Anita Sweeney's unique costumes will again wow audiences and, with original music and animation, "Charlotte's Web" looks set to capture the hearts and minds of Christmas theatregoers of all ages.
So if you are looking for some Christmas magic this year, look no further than The J and this classic story about the power of friendship.
"Charlotte's Web" opens at the J on 11 December with a special preview. It runs until 17 January 2008. Tickets are available at the J box office, by calling 5455 4455. Special rates are available for school and group bookings.
