Childhood Cancer Support is an Australian charity organisation, specialising in long term, comfortable accommodation for terminally ill country kids who have to travel to Brisbane to receive treatment.
The butterfly ball is our largest annual fundraising event. In the past the ball has raised up to $100,000 for CCS. This year the ball is being held in Brisbane City Hall on Saturday 9th September.
The night includes pre dinner drinks and canapés in King George Square, 3 course sit down meal with dinner entertainment, all drinks, great live music and shows form some of Australia's top artists, auctions, butterfly boxes, raffles, silent auctions and much much more for only $150 per person ( over 18's only).
Themed 'spring time ball' the event will be hosted by CCS' ongoing patron - channel nine's, Heather Foord.
With the money raised to date, CCS has bought four houses close to the Royal Children's Hospital in Brisbane. These houses allow country children undergoing treatment a place to call their home away from home. It also means their families can stay close by for much needed support.
In addition to free accommodation, CCS provides counselling, financial assistance, fun days, family camps, recreational therapy activities, love and support to those who need it. But they need your on going support to help keep this priceless service running.
CCS is a committed charity with a big heart, which has, for the past thirty years, kept its focus where it's needed - with the sick children and their families.
