Take your children by the hand and walk through the rainbow gate into an experience of sights and wonder. Try your hand at intricate silk paining or "lift a hammer" to create a unique piece at the woodworking stall, but be aware there are roving wizards in the grounds who may take you by the hand on a tour around the 7th annual Noosa Pengari Children's Festival.
The 7th annual Noosa Pengari Steiner Schools children's festival will showcase an amazing spectacle for the senses.
More then 100 parent volunteers have and will use their heads, hearts and hands together in creating a fabulous creative event for the whole family. The school currently has 230 students from preschool to year 7 and provides an artistic, creative and well-rounded approach to education. Faithful to the Steiner philosophy, stalls will feature home made toys and produce in which the children had a role in creating. The stalls will provide visitors with the chance to make their own silk paintings, felt flowers, candles, tie-dyed t-shirt, clay sculptures, jewelery and so much more.
Adults and children alike will be entertained by a variety of bands and singers, including Joe Camilleri, the Barley Shakes, Steve Tracey and the Krystal Sisters and Musica Prima.
The culinary site is well catered for with delicious curries from the food house, organic sausages, organic veggie burgers from the BBQ stall. The Famous Pengari Cake house is sure to tempt you with delicious gourmet cakes and the children will have their own food stall with all the homemade foods kids love.
The Festival kicks of at 10am, Sunday 1st May, Nyell Rd Doonan. Free Park and ride facilities (just follow the signs).
