Wassailing in Noosa!!
Have you ever been to a traditional "Wassail" - a carol concert led by a top-notch choir with lots of Christmas food and drink.
You can experience this for the first time in Noosa this year when Noosa Chorale will present their "Christmas Cheer" concerts at the Bicentennial Hall on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd December at 7.30pm.
Adrian King, Noosa Chorale's talented and inspiring Music Director, used to present a highly successful "Wassail" in England every Christmas. He is continuing this tradition here in Noosa.
Noosa Chorale will sing carols arranged for 4 parts. This makes the old favourite carols delightfully fresh. As well as much-loved traditional carols, they will sing some thrilling modern carols and some beautiful Australian carols including "Carol of the Birds" and "Sing Gloria".
The audience will be provided with song sheets and will join in many carols. Adrian is great at enthusing people and everyone will enjoy caroling away.
The Bicentennial Hall will be transformed with mood lighting and Christmas decorations. This will be a joyful, fun night - a night of true "Christmas Cheer".
The food will include Christmas cake, mince pies, shortbread, cheese platters, lollies and nibbles. The drink will be alcoholic and non-alcoholic punches.
The ticket price of $28 includes all food and drink. Phone 5474 0334 to make a booking. You can also book tables for 8 or more people if you wish.
Noosa Chorale is very grateful to the Bendigo Community Bank for sponsoring these concerts.
