Sunshine Coast not-for-profit organisation, The Treehouse Initiative will host their third annual Treehouse Kids Christmas Party with the support of their major sponsor Vantage Homes on Saturday 10th December.
The Treehouse Initiative provide opportunities for children with challenges to become active members in their community through sport and recreation with all funds from the event going towards creating social skills programs for young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The Treehouse Initiative Co-Founder and Director Claire Gilmour said in previous years the support from the community has been tremendous and they are expecting an even greater turnout this year.
“The first year we held the event there were 550 attendees, last year we had 700 people and this year we are hoping to reach 800 – 900 people!
“This fully inclusive family event is especially tailored for kids with special needs and is the perfect family day out.
“A small $10 donation per family will give you unlimited access to a variety of rides, activities and entertainment. There will be bouncing castles, face painters, food and information stalls, petting zoo, slime zone and much more,” Claire Gilmour said.
There is still time for local businesses to donate products or vouchers for the auction which will be held at the end of the day. Local businesses are also invited to set up a stall for only $50.
The event will run from 9am-2pm at the Kawana Sports Precinct (entry via Nicklin Way).
Tickets can be purchased online at www.sunshinecoasttickets.com.au/event?id=3765 or call Claire on 0448 965 779.
