WANT TO WIN A CARIBBEAN CRUISE?

Wife's dream: lazing by the pool, sipping cocktails on a Caribbean cruise.Husband's dream: spicing up the love life with one final fling before turning 50!

This is just one of the conflicts in the final Lind Lane production of 2005, the farcical comedy by Raymond Hopkins, Love Begins At Fifty.

Clive who has never been unfaithful in 28 years of marriage, decides to answer three lonely hearts ads. The same paper is offering a Caribbean cruise as the first prize in a competition to find the perfect married couple. His wife, Anita, enters but keeps it secret from Clive. A photographer arrives to take photos of the happy couple the night Anita is away and Clive is busy entertaining one of his new dates. From that point on, things get a little complicated, to say the least!

Denise Campbell and Nell Davis direct this production, which promises to entertain audiences as much as their last effort, the hilarious Don't Dress For Dinner.

Fast-paced and packed with laughs, Love Begins At Fifty features the comedic talents of Joy Marshall, John McMahon, Debbie Pitura, Alice Rea, Robyn Courtney, Samantha Turk, Rob Fox, and newcomers to the Sunshine Coast theatre circle, Keith and Dhani Daly.

The show opens on Wednesday 23rd November at 8 pm. The opening night ticket price of $23 includes hors d'oeuvres, coffee and cake (no concessions). "Love Begins At Fifty" opens on Wednesday 23rd November at 8:00 pm, at Lind Lane Theatre, 16 Mitchell St Nambour. Performances continue 25th, 26th, 30th November, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd December at 8:00 pm, with matinee's on Sunday 27th November and Saturday 3rd December at 2:00 pm. For bookings phone 5441 1814.

HILARITY, PASSION & CONFUSION AT LIND LANE!

When the love in a marriage is on the wane, what else is there to hold it together? Most of us know and remember the exhilaration and excitement of a new relationship, but when these initial fireworks subside, how do we react?

This is the situation that Clive and Anita are in after being married twenty-eight years.

Clive wants to feel alive again before he hits the "downhill slope" - after turning fifty. He wants to experience the excitement of the unknown again. So he looks in the lonely hearts column, for some new female company.

Anita believes she has the secret. Win a Caribbean cruise for a second honeymoon - even if she doesn't take her husband!

"Love Begins At Fifty" is the latest comedy to hit the stage at Nambour's Lind Lane Theatre.

Headed by award-winning directors, Denise Campbell and Nell Davis ("Don't Dress For Dinner", "Lipstick Dreams").

BATS President John McMahon (as Clive) and Suncoast Repertory Theatre's Joy Marshall (as Anita) make their debut appearances at Lind Lane, and Rob Fox returns for the first time since "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" in 1993.

Debbie Pitura, Alice Rea, Samantha Turk, Robyn Courtney, and Keith and Dahni Daly complete a cast that is sure to leave audiences smiling all the way home.
