Member for Kawana Jarrod Bleijie MP will be joined by Sunshine Coast Mayor Mark Jamieson and leading Queensland Health officials to update residents on the new Sunshine Coast University Hospital at a public meeting in Kawana tomorrow evening.
Executives from all stakeholder groups including Ramsay Health, the University of the Sunshine Coast, Sunshine Coast TAFE, Exemplar Health and John Holland Constructions will also give an update and answer questions from residents.
Among those attending the public forum will be the North Coast Region Chief Executive Officer for Queensland Health, Kevin Hegarty and the Sunshine Coast Regional Health Board Chairman, Professor Paul Thomas.
Mr Bleijie said that there had been an overwhelming response to the Community Health Forum and is expecting more than 150 residents in attendance.
“Anyone and everyone who has a stake in this new hospital will be on hand to answer questions,” Mr Bleijie said.
“This project will not only re-vitalise front line health and medical services on the Sunshine Coast, it will be the major economic driver for the next decade with the creation of thousands of new jobs in construction and retail.”
