Networking night set to attract 400 local businesses
Caloundra City Council's Economic Development Centre is hosting a second Connect Across the City business networking night after their May event attracted more than 400 Sunshine Coast businesses.
Caloundra City Mayor Don Aldous said that following the huge success of the previous function, many business people had contacted Council wanting to get involved again.
"The high level of interest shown since is a great endorsement that these events have significant benefits for businesses,'' Cr Aldous said.
"Connect Across the City means people can showcase their products and services, establish valuable contacts and enhance their understanding of the resources available.''
The next Business Caloundra city - Connect Across the City function is on Tuesday September 27 at Aussie World. A new highlight for the event will be a brief workshop on "Getting the Most Out of Networking'' which will run from 5pm for 20 minutes. Connect Across the City will then run from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
"We expect, once again, an enthusiastic response from a diverse cross section of the region's business community, Cr Aldous said.
"The choice of Aussie World as the venue is good news for our hinterland business community. It's also easy to access from Caloundra and the Coastal strip - as well as via the highway for people coming from other shires.''
To book for the event, jointly organised by Council and Small Business Answers, phone 1300 650112 or 5420 8200 during office hours. Tickets, which must be prepaid, are $10, which includes finger food, first drink and entry for lucky door prizes.
