The Blues Rent Party's are fast becoming famous for their great atmosphere and with this amazing line up of live music programmed it will be a night not to be missed! The rent party originated in Harlem and dates back to World War 1 and the 1920's. Someone evidently got the idea of having a few friends in as paying party guests, hired a musician or band to play then passed the hat to raise money to pay their rent a few days before the landlord's scheduled monthly visit. It was a cheap way to help a friend in need.
