As some of you might be aware, Unitywater is going to be establishing a wetland treatment trial at the Coolum Sewage Treatment Plant to treat waste water. A date has been confirmed for a community meeting where staff from Unitywater will explain the need, the process, the expected benefits along with some of the finer details of such a project. There will also be time for the staff to answer any questions you may have. It is on Thursday 28th June at 7:30am to 8:30am at the Coolum Community Native Nursery, 157 Warran Rd, Yaroomba.
This is an open invitation to anyone interested in the role of constructed wetlands in managing nutrient loads in waste water. Feel free to pass this invitation through your networks. RSVP to Maroochy Waterwatch on 5476 4777 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note to wear your winter woollies if attending and we will have tea and coffee available to warm the insides.
