The Cooran Tall Trees Festival returns on Sunday October 10 from 10:00am to 7:30pm.
Now in its 2nd year, Tall Trees has a few new attractions including the ride on mower convoy world record attempt and short film festival.
Tall Trees brings together local artists, musicians, singers and craft makers for a day of celebration, beginning with a street parade featuring the Noosa's very own pipe band.
Festival Co-ordinator Ainsley Apirana says Cooran is a very special town with a strong sense of community and has an amazing array of talent.
'It will be a day to remember when the clock strikes ten on the 10/10/10', Ainsley said.
'Our short film festival this year features the work of our local film makers and kicks off at sunset'.
The popular decorate-a-bike and scooter competition returns this year and the skate board championships and demonstrations will keep teenagers active across the day.
The Eco Markets will feature organic fruit and vegies and all manner of interesting wares from around the area.
The children from Cooran State School have been busy designing tiles with local artist Tracey Mutze-Butler for the local playground mural.
'Tracey and the children did a wonderful job last year and they're back to unveil the new tiles', Ainsley said.
Tall Trees will also feature workshops on worm farming, percussion, juggling and book making.
Anyone interested in designing a new-look park for Cooran is invited to participate in special workshops.
An Art Exhibition in the Cooran Hall features local paintings, sculpture, photography and installation art.
Cooran wouldn't be the same without live music, and there's plenty of it on the day.
From morning till dusk, Pioneer Park will come alive showcasing the talented musicians who live in this area.
