The Cotton Tree Olympic Pool is turning 25 and to celebrate Maroochy Council is throwing a birthday party this Saturday, 25 November and everyone's invited!
 
Lot's of birthday fun is planned for the morning including a free BBQ, face painting, games and competitions with lots of great prizes up for grabs.
 
Enter on the day into our 'Dive for Cash' competition for your chance to win $1000.
 
Pool entry is free between 9.00am and 12 noon but get in early to secure your piece of birthday cake!
 
The Cotton Tree Pool was built in 1981 to meet the growing population on the coastal strip of Maroochy Shire.
 
The pool has come a long way in the past 25 years and is now used all year round by local schools, community groups, surf clubs and elite sporting groups. In fact, visitors to the Cotton Tree Pool reached almost 100,000 last year with its popularity continuing to grow.
 
With everything from aqua aerobics to water polo and inflatable fun days, Cotton Tree Pool caters for everyone.
 
Features of the pool include a 50m heated pool, 25m heated and enclosed pool, children's adventure pool and an enclosed hydrotherapy learn-to-swim pool.
 
What better way to kick off summer and get ready for school holidays with a birthday party at the Cotton Tree Pool!

The Cotton Tree Olympic Swimming Pool will celebrate 25 years since its grand opening in 1981 and Maroochy Council is encouraging the community to participate in the birthday activities this Saturday 25 November.
 
Division 10 Councillor Mick Hourigan said as part of the celebrations, a free community barbeque is planned with face painting and games for the kids.
 
"There's also going to be competitions throughout the day with lots of great prizes up for grabs," he said. "There's going to be the 'Dive for Cash' competition that people can enter into on the day and be in with a chance to win $1000.
 
"We want everyone to join in the fun and celebrate this milestone with us."
 
Pool entry is free between 9am and 12 noon but locals and visitors are encourages to get in early to secure a piece of birthday cake!
