Innovative and entertaining group return with a new show
After the national success of 1.0 The Preview, Deep Blue are returning to the Sunshine Coast with their new show, 2.0 The Dream.
People often believe dreams are the opposite of reality. Optimists believe that good dreams can become their reality. Deep Blue will unleash the full potential of a 21st Century multimedia orchestra, telling the story of a young musicians dream.
This show is a brilliant combination of theatre, classical music and a rock concert. "It is unlike anything you have experienced before. There is no conductor, no music stands, no rules," Deep Blue violinist Sallie Campbell said.
Deep blue will take audiences on an unforgettable journey, where they are able to help colour our dream and shape how the show goes. Audience members are encouraged to leave their phones on and SMS the group during the show with music requests.
"We are not like a typical performance where the audience is asked to sit still, stay quiet, watch us play and then go home. It's our aim to show people that you can have fun with this type of music. You can move around, SMS, clap, scream, dance and yell. It makes for a really great night out," Sallie said.
Combining film music with classics and rock, right through to electronica, Deep Blue is a visual and aural experience. Moving images, moving music and most importantly moving performances.
