Butterflies at Library 9/10/2006
Discovering Australian Butterflies is a simple guide to our country's most common butterflies and it will be launched by its author Vanessa Bugg at the Noosa Library, at Wallace Park, Noosaville on Saturday October 21st at 4 pm.
The guide is designed to help anyone to easily identify and name 60 of the most common butterflies found in Australian backyards, gardens, parks and our native bushland.
Both adults and children will be catered for at the launch to discover more about these ethereal creatures. The aptly named Vanessa (the name has long been associated with the butterfly genus) will discuss her experiences on self-publishing and her father, John Peters, will share his lifelong love of butterflies as a entomologist at the Australian Museum.
Children will be entertained with face painting and invited to create their own butterfly images. Every purchaser of a book at the launch will receive a FREE A1 size colour butterfly poster.
A light supper will be served. Bookings are essential and the cost will be $6.00 per adult, children free of charge.
