Councils host 'Do it right on your site' trade day
Ever wondered about the best way to contain litter and building waste, prevent erosion and control sediment on construction and earthwork projects?
Twenty organisations and their products, including cutting edge industry innovations, will be showcased at a trade day hosted by Caloundra City and Maroochy Shire Councils on Thursday 22 March, from 9am to 3pm, at Quad Park, Nicklin Way, Kawana.
Caloundra City Mayor Don Aldous said that Caloundra City Council and Maroochy Shire Council are proud to host this free event.
"This trade event encourages the construction industry to use high standards in providing environmental controls on construction sites," Cr Aldous said.
"Trade product displays, demonstrations on how to use products and installation techniques, all encourage proper use of site environmental control products to ensure that our waterways and bushland are protected from construction waste and erosion."
Trade products on display will range from erosion and sediment control products from Treemax, Coates and Geofabrics Australasia, to Andromeda Industries' new temporary surface hardening product made from recycled mining conveyor belts.
