Janet Seidel, who has become known as the singers singer, is performing her show Doris & Me at Caloundra Cultural Centre on Wednesday 28th June at 11:00am.  Doris & Me is Janet's delightful celebration of the life and songs of Doris Day.

During her long career, Doris Day made 39 movies, 18 of which were musicals. She also recorded over 650 songs many of which became standards.  Songs like Secret Love, Pillow Talk, Perhaps, Sentimental Journey and Que Sera Sera are forever associated with Doris Days sunny, feel good delivery and pleasant sounding voice.

It is from this huge repertoire that Janet Seidel, one of Australia's most accomplished song stylists, has advised a one-woman cabaret celebrating the life and songs of Doris Day.

Funny and poignant at times, Doris & Me features the superb arrangements that are very much the hallmark of Janet Seidel.

Leading U.S publication Cadence, recently described Janet as Australia's latter day Doris Day and went on to describe her ravishingly sunlight reading as being in the best tradition of Doris Days' warmest and creamiest ballads.

Australian audiences have loved this show on its' several national tours. Appearing with Janet in Doris & Me is accomplished double bass player, David Seidel (Janet's brother) and swing guitarist Chuck Morgan, ensuring that the material swings with the authentic jazz approach.
