61 years ago, in 1956, Caloundra Hotel was born, back when Bulcock Street and the hotel was, and yet still is, the “Heart of the Town”. On Thursday June 8 we will be turning back the clock, as we
return to a time of cool cars, swing music, when beer came in wooden kegs and whiskey was the water of life.

We want Caloundra to embrace our history with us, as we move forward as the Caloundra Hotel “in the heart of the Town”. What better time than the Downunder Beach Festival week, with all the old cars from this time in town to launch ourselves with a 50’s period party.

But it’s not just all about Caloundra Hotel, come join us for a fantastic cause. Not only will we be celebrating the time and our history, we will be raising money for “Project Pink”, the annual breast cancer fundraiser that is an initiative of the PA Research Foundation with partners Australian Leisure and Hospitality Group (ALH), Network Ten and Stellarossa Coffee Stores.

Every year 2,500 Australian women lose their battle with breast cancer – that's seven women a day, making it the second most common cause of cancer-related death. Funds raised for the campaign will support revolutionary breast cancer research projects. Your support of this campaign will help continue to make ground in the fight against this disease. Please help us continue to fight for all the women in our lives. A guest speaker from the PA Foundation will be joining us during the evening.

With a ticket charge of just $15 proceeds will go to the cause, plus you will get to taste some old favorite savouries back in the time, have a taste of Moonshine (the water of life), and good old Castlemaine beer from wooden kegs.

That's not all, swing into night with live music from Diva D Amour and later we go up beat with DJ Shannon B late into the night. The discovery of an old Caloundra Hotel receipt from 1967 shows that children's meals from our bistro were charged at $1 back then. So in recognition of this for the entire week from Monday June 5 to Friday June 9 all Kids Meals from our Menu will once again be just $1, when purchased with an Adult meal.

For more information or to purchase tickets visit our website www.caloundracbx.com.au or call the the Hotel on 5439 4555.
