DRATI KHANGTSEN MONKS
"Tour of Universal Responsibility'
Friday 25th through to Sunday 27th May
The monks will also construct a colourful and delicate sand Mandala of universal compassion. This process will begin in the early hours on Friday and continue until the dissolution ceremony on Sunday.
At regular intervals during this creation, monks will perform sacred chanting and ritual musical performances. At the dissolution ceremony (the fulcrum of the event) the sands are swept up, preserving the blessings of the Mandala. Portions of the blessed sand are then distributed to onlookers before the final dedication prayers and ceremony at a local water way, to bring favourable conditions for the region, like timely rain, harmony and prosperity.
Join us for part of the tour or stay for the whole weekend and immerse yourself in this unique cultural experience!
