This Easter from 10 until 5pm every day from Thursday the 5th until Monday the 9th April Arts for the Community will be displaying over 400 pieces of art at the Eumundi School of Art in Memorial Drive Eumundi.
All art will be for sale and all monies raised will go towards post school services for the disabled. Art such as this magnificent piece from local Chris Postle will be on display and available for sale.
Post school services provide an adult Lifestyle Support Programme for young adults with disabilities. The Programmes offer structured training to assist young adults with the transition from school, encouraging independence, friendship and learning in a supported environment.
Post School Services provide programs tailored to influence client self-esteem and learning ability in order that they can integrate into the community at large. This is achieved through activities structured to enhance hand eye coordination, balance, focus, appropriate behaviour reinforcement, literacy and numeracy, money management, road safety rules, increased expression and communication ability, expansion of their knowledge of the local community (library, emergency services etc).
