NOOSA is destined to become even more eventful when organisers of community festivities attend this year's Event Workshop Program, to be hosted by Noosa Council's Community Development Events Section.
Following last year's successful inaugural event forum and workshops, another will be staged on Wednesday, March 9th from 9 am to 12 noon at the Christian Outreach Centre in Eumundi Road, Noosaville.
Events Co-ordinator Heather Williams said today the forum enables event planners to gain skills, exchange ideas with their counterparts and gather information from professionals in specific fields. "They will also be able to learn and work with other event producers in the Noosa region," said Mrs Wiliams.
"The issue of contracts for venues, artists and performers will be addressed by Neil Thompson of Kimballs Lawyers; the timely and contentious bugbear of public liability by Jennine Sellers from AON Insurance Company and other speakers will take the platform on styling and other tips.
"To register for the Forum, please contact Council's Community Development Section on 5449 5100. Attendance is free of charge, but like all event organisers, we need to know numbers - in this case for the all important issue of morning tea catering."
