The day will be opened with a Welcome to Country from the Gubbi Gubbi people, who are traditional owners of the Sunshine Coast.

Come and try a new sport! Sneakers and sweat bands optional, just bring your enthusiasm and get involved! Local sporting clubs will be hosting 'Come & Try' activities for their respective Commonwealth sports! Meet our very own Caitlin Basset - Sunshine Coast Lightning Superstar and Australian Diamond Captain.

FLAGS FLAGS FLAGS! Show us your colours! Are you Indigenous? Is your nana Welsh? Is your dad Scottish? Do you have Pacific Islander ancestry? Whatever your heritage wear your colours proudly and share your culture and history with the Sunshine Coast!

HERO Message Stations. . .

We're going old school with our athlete love! Festival of Champions will be hosting 2 Hero Message Stations where you can choose a beautiful Sunshine Coast postcard and write a letter of encouragement to anyone of the athletes or teams visiting! We'll make sure they get delivered.
