Irish Mythen (Prince Edward Island, Canada)
Think back to a time in your life when you heard music that was so powerful and beautiful you were instantly engaged. That very well could have been an Irish Mythen show, an experience in the joy of everything. Born and raised in Wexford County Ireland, Irish Mythen has travelled the globe playing in Europe, Australia, the Middle East and the UK. Her music is the root of small communities and the strength of a loyal fan base. During her travels she has worked with a host of world-renowned artists like Christie Moore, Tom Paxton, The Dubliners and The Pogues. Since her immigration to Canada in 2008 she has been honored to create music and memories with Gordie Sampson, Joel Plaskett, Ron Hynes, Matt Andersen, Bruce Guthro and Dave Gunning. As well as shared the stage with Sylvia Tyson, Valdy, The Bros Landreth, and Emmylou Harris. She has become an admired and respected Artist on the Canadian scene. Irish is a true entertainer who is known for her gripping live shows which highlight her various talents as the talented metaphorical performer-songwriter, the storyteller who’ll grasp your attention and who will bring you on an incredible and emotional journey, as well as the comedian with a joie de vivre who’ll have you laughing from the very beginning until long after the end of her show.

Starboard Cannons (New South Wales, Australia)
Hailing from Northern NSW, Starboard Cannons cast off the rusty manacles of Australian folk music and awaken a new dawn of contemporary Australiana. Moving across the realm of sparse and haunting folk, diving head first into full-blown, beer spilling, whiskey swilling sea shanty territory, the gents craft string-based tales that sit somewhere between the Scottish Highlands and the Aussie bush. With two albums under their belt, Starboard Cannons have appeared at a slew of major festivals including Woodford Folk Festival, Mullum Music Fest, Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass and The Gum Ball. In February 2015, they were invited to perform as official showcase artists at the world’s biggest folk music conference, Folk Alliance International in Kansas City. The trio features Ashley Bell on vocals, guitar and banjo, Matt Bone on upright bass and Jan Van Dijk on fiddle. In this age of trends and posturing, Starboard Cannons breathe new life into acoustic music, with the enthusiastic energy and trademark larrikinism that underpins Australiana.

EUMUNDI: There is a blend of old and new within Eumundi; of hippy and hipsters. The streets are lined with historical buildings, modern art galleries, boutique wineries and local history museums. The town is a must-do for anyone passing through the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Every Saturday and Wednesday, come rain, hail or shine, the population of Eumundi explodes from 1900 residents to several thousand as visitors flock to the renowned Eumundi Markets. These markets were established in 1979 and are situated in the heart of this historic town. The iconic and towering heritage-listed fig trees rise above the 500 plus stall market and everything is on offer from fresh food to clothes and lifestyle products.
