THE Maroochy RSL will host a free aged care forum on Thursday 30 May
for the Sunshine Coast community to attend to explore the seven most
important things people should know.
Three expert speakers will review Australia’s aged care system to identify options for caring for older Australians.
Speakers are Drew Dwyer, Senior Gerontologist; Helen Williams, Lifestyle Manager for RSL Care and Michael Rowland from Whittaker Macnaught.
Drew Dwyer will answer any questions about how aged care can work for everyone.
Lifestyle Manager for RSL Care, Helen Williams will discuss different services that are available locally at Alexandra Headland.
Michael Rowland from Whittaker Macnaught will explore moving into residential aged care including eligibility, costs and lifestyle impacts.
Maroochy RSL’s CEO Clare Paton said the idea of the community forum is to offer people a chance to have their questions answered by industry leaders.
“This forum is a great opportunity for older Sunshine Coast residents, their family or care workers to discover the options available for aged care.”
The free forum is on at the Maroochy RSL Club on Thursday 30 May from 6 to 8.30pm. To reserve seats call Sharon on 07 5443 1719 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
