Come along to the free screening of the multi award winning documentary, 'Beyond Right and Wrong' - stories of justice and forgiveness. Trailer: https://vimeo.com/49874828 Facebook event page to RSVP to: https://www.facebook.com/events/1629170573969605/ Beyond Right & Wrong presents the stories of people who have experienced loss and the stories of people who have caused that loss. From the Rwandan Genocide to the Troubles in Northern Ireland to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, people from different sides of the violence have entrusted all of us with their stories—their anger or remorse, their pain, their paths to recovery.
Beyond Right and Wrong portrays the resilience of humanity when facing the chasm between rage and acceptance. Beautifully filmed, expansive and unique in its premise, the film offers its audience deep insight into the struggle for justice, forgiveness, healing, rebuilding and reconciliation. If history is made up of individual acts, these are the unheard narratives of individuals who have risked everything to transform tragedy into the foundation for a new chapter in history. Personal stories combined with reflections of "on the ground" experts amplify how the cycle of conflict can be broken. We are very fortunate to welcome Lindsay Hadley as our guest speaker for the event. Lindsay is visiting from America and is one of the most sought after public speakers, consultants and producers in the non-profit sector. In 2014, Lindsay launched FilmRaise, an online platform praised by Indiewire and Forbes as "innovative" and "inspiring" that connects filmmakers, charities, and viewers for social change. Lindsay is a co-founder of Time Machine, an engagement platform that helps brands and charities inspire their communities to have meaningful experiences and take action for causes.
Lindsay's full bio is available in the program on the night.
