Extra workshop announced! Due to popular demand there will be an extra workshop held on the 9th of March, please see contact details below!
Vaughn Nash has decided to run ONE LAST FROG WORKSHOP due to the outstanding amount of interest from people all over the coast (and as far away as Bundaberg). It will be on Monday 9th March from 6 to 8pm in Nambour. Due to number limitations, the venue will be advised on booking. RSVP essential to the Maroochy Waterwatch office on 54764777 or return e-mail. Wear closed in shoes and bring drinking water.
THIS WILL BE THE LAST ONE FOR THE YEAR and numbers are limited, so, first in best dressed!
With the recent warm weather and humid nights, have you may have noticed very loud frog choruses and wondered what sorts of frogs you have in your backyard or down the creek? Did you know there is a frog called the gastric brooding frog? What do you do when a frog breeds where it shouldn't e.g. in a plastic bucket? What year do frogs like best?
These are some of the questions we are constantly asked over the summer months, so Vaughn Nash has decided to run four frog workshops throughout summer, supported by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council. These workshops consist of a formal informative presentation about our local frogs and then going out and looking frogs along Laurel Creek, with tips on ways to find frogs.
Workshops start at 6pm at a venue in Nambour on:
09 February 2009
23 February 2009
Bookings are essential as numbers are restricted.
Please notify if you are unable to attend on your selected day so that someone else can attend instead. Closed shoes are to be worn. Please bring along a torch and drinking water.
All Sunshine Coast events, gigs, functions etc... onsite are correct as per information provided at time of uploading, please always verify times or dates directly with the venues to avoid disappointment.
