One of the most important bushfoods to native aborigines, the fruit from the bunya pine is unlike any other. It's nutty and buttery, it's incredibly unique, it's versatile and it's delicious when cooked properly.

Learn all about the history of this fascinating species, how the aborigines used it in ceremonies, how they stored and cooked it, learn how to cook it yourself, and of course, try some! 

Each runs for 2 hours and are suitable for adults only (babies in strollers are welcome if they tend to me sleeping/quiet).

The venue is a private residence in Maroochydore perfect for an intimate, relaxed and fun event.

$2 from every booking for each workshop will be donated to Headspace Maroochydore!


Bookings are essential and available via the form below. Payment is to be made via bank transfer and received no later than 48 hours prior to the first event of the three you're attending.

Maximum 8 spots available for each workshop.

You're welcome to book in for friends/family along with yourself, please advise their name + email below.

  • Some bushfoods to take home to use with the knowledge you've just gained!
