Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) is a mindfulness-based approach in psychology that enables us to get our lives moving in rich, full and meaningful ways. By cultivating our mindfulness - a transformative mental state of awareness, openness and focus - we can discover how to let difficult thoughts and feelings flow through us, without getting caught up or pushed around by them.
Mindfulness helps us to engage fully in what we are doing, to maximise our joy and fulfilment, and emotional well-being. In this much-anticipated follow-up to the popular "Stop Struggling, Start Flourishing" programme, will learn how to deepen our mindfulness practice, overcome obstacles and sustain our resolve to live happier, healthier, and more fulfilled lives. You don't have to have attended Part 1, but it would be helpful to have some knowledge of ACT principles. All welcome! Samantha Clarke is a clinical psychologist and the co-director of Sunshine Coast Clinical Psychology. She has trained staff and university students across Australia, and has given numerous public talks around the world.
