This is a family friendly event with inspiring speakers, live music and activities.

"We are striking to send a message to those in power that they need to take urgent action now to stop the climate crisis.  Our politicians aren't taking the action needed to move Australia beyond fossil fuels to 100% renewable power." said Echo Demecs
"We are inviting everyone to come -  parents, friends, families and workmates to join us. Politicians aren't doing enough. They need  people powered movements to push them, we will show politicians that all of us want climate justice, because the alternative is unthinkable," said Echo
The Global strike is inspired by Swedish teenager Greta Thunberg and the School Strke 4 Climate movement.

In Australia, last November, 20,000 students went on strike, then 150,000 in March this year.
"By taking time off school and work together around the world, we'll show our politicians that people everywhere want climate justice and we're not going away until we get it."  said Echo
