Trumpet and horn for elephants and rhinos, protest at the death of Cecil the lion and stop canned lion killings at Eumundi Sunshine Coast.

An EVENT 3rd October.Global March.Saturday 3rd October, starting at 9.30 a.m, at Eumundi Pavilion Markets,( next door to Chuckles café )follow the footsteps.

Protest at the horror of the deaths of these animals; please join us again this year for a Global March for elephants and rhinos . Join a world wide same day demonstration, to support the demand to stop these slaughters of these amazing animals.Every year, tens of thousands of elephants and rhinos are brutally killed for their ivory and horns.

Between 2008 and 2013, the estimated death toll ranged between 30,000 and 50,000 elephants per year are slaughtered this is horrifying; ivory dealers employ and arm poachers, who in turn target entire herds of elephants;Africa loses 4 elephants to poachers EVERY HOUR, EVERY DAY of the year. Africa loses 3 rhinos to poachers EACH DAY, of the 5 species of rhino, less than 25,000 survive today .The problem is a GLOBAL ISSUE we are all affected by this. These tusks are fed into the illegal international ivory trade which is controlled by highly organised criminal syndicates and terrorists.  This trade feeds demand for ivory products in Asia, Europe, USA and elsewhere, which continues to bankroll elephants' destruction and provided an avenue for criminals to launder illegal ivory into the black-market.

Rhino poaching has escalated in recent years and is being driven by the demand for rhino horn in Asian countries, particularly Vietnam.
Canned lion hunting. Thousands of lions are being bred on farms to be shot. The easy slaughter of animals in fenced areas is called "canned hunting".

Cecil the lion, was a 13-year-old male South African lion who  lived in the Hwange National Park in Matabelel and North, Zimbabwe. He was illegally killed by an American dentist Walter Palmer. The killing of Cecil, the popular Zimbabwean lion, has bought the debate on "canned hunting" to global attention.
